Whew. We're finally working on our event for GenCon this year. It's great to have no one to answer to but ourselves (last year we wrote a huge event for Paizo), and no one to blame shortcomings on either.

On the other hand, it's a little bit intimidating to think that dozens of people are going to pay actual money to play in something that I'm developing, and that I'll be there for them to voice their displeasure to if they don't care for it.

I've written a bigger Con event before, but it was for someone else and I couldn't be there to run it. I've written something for pay before, but it was a module so I didn't get any sort of personal feedback. This is something totally different, and I'm excited about it.

Heyo! That is the exact sort of contest that speaks to me - I love it. I would have entered it even without the possibility of a prize, and that's saying something, since I'm notoriously reluctant to ever post anything anywhere.

Not out of paranoia. It's more a combination of lethargy and skepticism that it will actually matter. ;)
